2008 Chrysler Town & Country Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain a Fuel Injector on a 4.0L Engine on 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: The first step to service the fuel injector is to release the pressure in your fuel system. Cover and disconnect the negative battery cable and follow by removing the clean air hose from the throttle body. Attach a fuel line release tool to the quick connect fuel line and remove it from the fuel rail. After that, take off the upper intake manifold. Put numbers that match the cylinders on the electrical harness connectors before detaching the connectors from the fuel injectors. Get rid of the bolds holding down the fuel rail and withdraw it straight from the cylinder heads. Take away the retaining clips from the fuel injectors on the fuel rail. Before replacing an injector, tag or mark each one so you know in which place to replace it. Once done, remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail.
