2008 Chrysler Town & Country Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove the Upper Intake Manifold on 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Before getting rid of the upper intake manifold, make sure to disconnect the negative battery cable. Following these instructions, lift the housing of the air cleaner and take off the inlet hose. After that, remove the engine cover. Take away the ECT harness connector from the throttle body and remove the oil tube from both bolts on the upper intake manifold. Disconnect the Manifold Tuning Valve (MTV) if you have one, in addition to the Short Runner Valve, the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), the Idle Air Control (IAC) and the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. Take out the alternator bracket and unplug the EGR tube. Do not leave hoses connected from the vacuum to the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve, the EVAP Purge Solenoid or the Power Brake Booster. Take off the plugs holding the two brackets that support the intake manifold, then clear away the bolts on the upper intake manifold and the manifold. Remember to clean all areas where the gasket is supposed to seal.
