2008 Chrysler Town & Country Valve Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Valve Body on 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Slowly take the cover panel off the engine and unplug the negative clip from the battery before you handle the valve body. Open the radiator drain, detach the two clamps from the lower radiator hose and take out the hose. Unhook the shift cable from the lever, undo the bolts around the top valve body oil pan and unplug the lone solenoid pack connector under the valve body. Set the vehicle on a hoist and remove the inner wheel splash screws from the front left side inside the wheel opening. Ship the steering wheel left all the way, then unscrew the pressure tap plug at the valve body oil pan. Then, loosen the under pan bolts to drain the transmission fluid and finally detach the valve body. Take apart the electrical connections at the valve body, unscrew the screw at the detente arm and finally remove the detente arm. Unscrew the valve body to valve case bolts after you have pushed the manual valve lever all the way forward. Lift the valve body out of the assembly and raise it far enough that the metal rod past the manual valve pin clears the slot on the rooster comb.
