The crankshaft vibration damper and water pump pulley have to be removed, as well as the engine mount support bracket and the oil pan. The timing chain cover and timing chain must be taken out, together with the balance shaft module after that. It is important to unmount the crankshaft sprocket, crankshaft position sensor and ladder frame. Should a piston or connecting rod need to be changed, the cylinder head has to be taken out first.
