  A: Before you work on the fuel rail, let the system run dry by releasing pressure, proceed in a safe well-ventilated area and don't smoke, as these steps prevent accidents. Tie the end of the hose to some shop towels to help catch rainwater or spilt gas. If you have a negative cable, pull this first and then remove the end of the fuel line that attaches to the fuel rail. After you have removed the fuel line, lift the lock and pull out the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors and clear the wiring harness from the fuel rail studs. After that, unscrew the 2 bolts from the fuel rail and uninstall the entire fuel assembly from the intake manifold. At the end, pull the fuel injectors from the fuel rail.
