  A: Unplug the negative battery cable before starting to service the headlamp washer pump. Take the hose from the washer reservoir and detach it from the front pump and then let the fluid drain through a temporary hose connected to the pump. The next step is to get rid of the washer reservoir. To remove the high pressure headlamp washer pump hose, slide down the latch and pull the hose off. After that, unplug the electric connector for the high pressure headlamp washer pump motor (1). Lift the pump from the reservoir and unseat it from the mounting grommet by pulling it up and out of the reservoir, treating it gently so you do not damage the sealing surface or puncture the reservoir. Then, pull out the pump grommet and toss it away.
