You should remove the master cylinder as the first action to repair or service the vacuum brake booster. Then, get rid of the vacuum hose at the booster. After that, take out the clip that holds the booster push rod to the brake pedal. After you finish welding, take out the nuts from the booster mounting studs. In the end, take the booster and gasket out from the front cowl panel.
