When attaching the universal joint, make sure all the markings on the two yokes match up. Put EP N.L.G.I. Grade 1 or 2 grease inside the yoke bores from the start. Set the cross in the propeller shaft yoke and cover the trunnion with its bearing cap, keeping the needle bearings straight and lined up with the yoke. Pushing the bearing cap into the yoke bore until it is clear of the snap ring groove, then put in the snap ring to hold the bearing in place. Turn the propeller shaft yoke around and install the other bearing cap on the other side with a snap ring. Set the link yoke onto the remaining trunnions, push down both bearing caps and attach the snap rings. Assemble the centering kit inside the link yoke and place the spring correctly. Put two bearing caps on the opposite ends of the remaining cross, insert the open trunnions into the link yoke bores and the bearing caps into the centering kit. Press the rest of the bearing caps in, then seal the gaps with snap rings, tapping each into place. Proper assembly should allow the flexed joint to snap over-center as it is bent in either direction. Afterward, put the propeller shaft on.
