How to Maintain and Fix a Steering Wheel on 2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500?

Before servicing or repairing the steering wheel, first remove the ground wire on the battery. Once that's done, get rid of the air bag module from the steering wheel. Paint the steering wheel and steering column shaft so you can easily identify which side faces forward, because the steering wheel has a master spline on one side and the steering shaft does not. Turn the steering wheel to point straight forward and then take out the bolt that holds it in place. After that, detach the steering wheel from the column.
