2008 Dodge Viper Clutch Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to install a Clutch Master Cylinder on 2008 Dodge Viper?
A: The clutch master cylinder should first be set into the toe box and then twisted a quarter turn clockwise. Use Line Release 6638A to remove the quick connection from the clutch bell housing before reconnecting the line. If the clutch had a tie strap in place, put a new tie strap on now. Take off the cap on the reservoir and the plug at the tube's end and then attach the tube once more to the clutch master cylinder. Screw the fluid reservoir to the top of the clutch master cylinder and secure it with screws. Attach the clutch pedal position switch harness connector, next link the master cylinder actuation rod to the clutch pedal clip and finally fit a new anti-rotation pin. Put in the left knee panel again and connect the negative terminal of the battery. Bleed the cooling system, then place the left front wheelhouse splash shield and the left front wheel. In the end, ensure that both the clutch and the gears respond according to expectations as you change between them.
