2009 Dodge Viper Clutch Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Clutch Master Cylinder on 2009 Dodge Viper?
A: For the installation, put the clutch master cylinder into the toe box and then twist it a quarter turn clockwise. Make sure to use Line Release 6638A at the clutch bell housing to loosen the quick connector. Should a tie strap have been there in the first place, insert a new tie strap to attach the clutch hydraulic line to the chassis. With the cap removed from the reservoir and the plug from the tube taken out, join the reservoir tube to the clutch master cylinder again. Put in the clutch master cylinder fluid reservoir and make sure it is secured with the fasteners. After that, connect the harness to the clutch pedal position switch connector, fit the master cylinder actuation rod to the clutch pedal clip and install an anti-rotation pin. Replace the left knee blocker panel and link the battery negative cable again. Take out the excess waste from the system, then tackle the installing of the left front wheelhouse splash shield and the left front wheel. Make sure the clutch works properly and check that gear changes from one to the next are smooth.
