2008 Dodge Viper Fuel Level Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How Can a Fuel Level Sensor Be Installed to Ensure Optimal Performance and Prevent Damage on 2008 Dodge Viper?
A: When setting up the fuel level sensor, be extremely gentle with the fuel level sensor because accidental contact with the float could cause the sensor to become damaged and give the wrong readings. Keep the signal and ground wires in the right places and lock each electrical terminal (2) with the locking finger (1) so that it doesn't move. Start by contacting the bottom of the fuel pump/level sensor connector with the fuel level sensor electrical terminal and after that attach the fuel level sensor signal and ground terminals to the connector. Subsequent to that, install the locking wedge on the connector and link the fuel pump/level sensor electrical connector (1). Under tab (2) on the housing, secure the wires of the fuel level sensor, then place the sensor up into its housing channel until you hear a sound, making certain the bottom tab (3) on the sensor is locked. After that, connect the fuel pump module.
