2008 Jeep Commander Engine Mount Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair Engine Mounts for 4X2 and 4X4 Configurations on 2008 Jeep Commander?
A: To cope with rear engine mount service and repair, first place the vehicle on a hoist and elevate the transmission with a suitable jack. To work on a 4X2 car, you need to get rid of the crossmember, detach the fasteners on the transmission mount, pull the mount out and remove the bracket if there is one. To remove the 4X4 mount, raise the vehicle, support the transmission, take out the crossmember and fasteners from the mount and remove the transmission mount.
