2008 Jeep Commander Fog Light Bulb Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Install a Fog Light Bulb on 2008 Jeep Commander?
A: Before placing the fog lamp bulb, check it is the right type and size so heating does not harm the lamp, the socket or the wiring. Avoid placing your hand on the glass and keep it away from oily things to preserve the lifespan of your bulb. Lay down the base of the bulb so that it points into the front fog lamp socket. Just insert the bulb straight in the socket, making sure it's snug. Lift the back of the front fog lamp housing and line up the socket and bulb with the keyed hole at the back. Insert them until the socket is set in position. Gently rotate the socket clockwise 30 degrees so it locks and makes sure the socket connector is aiming straight downward. Secure the wire harness connector to its socket, put the splash shield cover back on and then lower it into place at the front of the wheel house with a snap. After that, lower the vehicle and plug in the negative battery cable.
