2008 Jeep Commander Headlight Bulb Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Service and Repair a Headlight Bulb on 2008 Jeep Commander?
A: Whenever you need to replace the headlamp bulb, use the correct sized and type so that no part gets hot or damaged. Don't touch the bulb glass or let it contact greasy places, since this can reduce its lifespan. The method works for both low-beam and high-beam bulbs, using the same steps, but the bulbs are different in location, size and type. Initially, insert the base of your low beam or high beam bulb into the opening at the back of the reflector that matches the key. Secure the bulb and base in the reflector until it is tight, next, rotate the base about 30 degrees clockwise to ensure it can't move further. Attach the pigtail wire back to the connector receptacle on the lamp housing's back side and then place the front lamp unit cover on the lamp. In the last step, attach the negative battery cable to its terminal again.
