• Q: How to Properly Service a Fog Light Bulb Without Shortening Its Life on 2009 Jeep Commander?

  A: Before servicing the driving lamp bulb, make sure to separate and disconnect the negative cable of the battery. Support and raise the vehicle, pull open the cover above the hole in the splash shield and then unsnap it from the front wheel house. Access the back of the front fog lamp housing by inserting your hand through the small hole under the fascia. Take out the wire harness connector from the fog light socket (1). Seize the socket fixed onto the back of the housing and by rotating it clockwise about 30 degrees, you unlock it. You may then remove the socket and bulb from the keyed opening. In the end, pull the base of the bulb out directly from the socket.
