How to Maintain and Fix the Hood Cable on 2008 Jeep Compass?

The first step is to unlink the latch cable from the latch release and remove the hood cable (2) from the latch (3). After that, remove both of the push pin fasteners (2) and take out the cowl trim panel. After that, unscrew (2) the two screws and detach the handle (3) from the cowl. Take out the cable from the cowl panel at the inside of the car.
