How to Install a Crankshaft Seal on 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Before installing the crankshaft main bearing seal, cover the crankshaft flange with engine oil. After that, hold the Seal Installer 8349-2 to the crankshaft rear face and insert the crankshaft rear oil seal 1 into the guide. Place the seal in position with the Universal Drive Handle C-4171 and tap it until the Seal Installer 8349 is seated against the crankshaft bore. Place the flexplate after you install the seal and install the transmission.
