How to Safely Remove a Brake Master Cylinder on 2008 Jeep Patriot?

To remove the brake master cylinder, pump the brake pedal 4-5 times with the engine off in order to remove the vacuum. Disconnect the negative cable to the battery and the wiring harness connected to the brake fluid level switch. Remove brake tubes, clean area and then remove the master cylinder from the booster.
