How to Replace a Door Hinge Without Taking the Door Off on 2008 Jeep Patriot?

You don't have to take down the door if you just replace the rear door hinges one at a time, while using a suitable body seal product to help remove or adjust them. Unlocked the front door before anything else. Apply a grease pencil to the spot on the door where the hinge will go and to the B-pillar. After removing the nuts that hold the hinge to the door, loosen the bolts at the B-pillar end of the hinge and slide the hinge out. Next, mark where the lower hinge will sit on the door and B-pillar, unscrew the bolts holding it to the B-pillar and remove its bolts from the door as well.
