How to Maintain a Knock Sensor on 2008 Jeep Patriot?

Before working on the knock sensor, take away the negative battery cable. After that, undo the bolt holding the knock sensor and pull the sensor out while still connecting the wires. After disconnecting the electrical connector, go ahead and pull the knock sensor free.
