2009 Chrysler 300 Alternator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an Alternator on 2009 Chrysler 300?
A: It is important to disconnect the negative battery cable before beginning alternator service or repair to ensure you don't cause injury or harm to the electrical parts. After that, discard the generator drive belt. Unclip the small plastic cover off the B+ mounting stud and next take both the B+ terminal mounting nut and the B+ terminal away from the back of the generator. Push on the connector tab to separate the field wire electrical connector. After everything is connected, get rid of the mounting bolts on the generator and take the generator out from inside the hood.
