How to Maintain the Thermostat on a 2.7L Engine on 2009 Chrysler 300?

To repair the engine coolant thermostat on a 2.7L engine, remove the negative cable, drain the cooling system and lift the vehicle. Remove the right front wheel, accessory drive belts and generator. Disconnect electrical connectors, remove the dipstick tube and finally, remove the thermostat and housing.
