How to Maintain and Fix Battery Cables on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

To service the battery cables, turn off the ignition and all electrical accessories. Disconnect the remote battery negative cable, remove the battery and follow the retaining pushpins and clips until the cables are loose. Finally, take the battery cables out of the engine compartment.
