How to Install a Starter Motor on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

First, put the starter motor back in the lower engine compartment and attach it using the mounting bolts, tightened to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). After that, plug the starter motor wiring in and make sure the solenoid battery cable nut is tightened to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). Set the Engine Structural Collar into place and when you lower the vehicle from the hoist, reconnect the battery negative cable. Close the air cleaner box and operate the engine to test the whole car before taking it off the hoist.
