How to Maintain a Hood Hinge on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

To service the hood hinge, open and hold the hood up on the affected side. Remove the cowl grille screen and mark hinge attachment points with a grease pencil to be able to reattach. Finally, remove the nuts holding the hinge in the hood and fender and remove the hinge.
