Check that the gel on the windshield fence is smooth and the same shape as the windshield and confirm support spacers are fitted and correctly screwed into position on the weld studs or repair screws at the base of the opening. Look at the roof panel hooks and put in squeak tape if you don't see any. Ensure that both the replacement windshield and the area it is replacing both have squeak tape and anti-squeak lube, then hook the encapsulation locator pin through the glass and put each encapsulation hook onto its panel hook. Glass encapsulation should be placed smoothly on the roof panel; if there are gaps, adjust the pinch weld fence so it works with the new glass. Set your new windshield on a flat surface, with the padded wood blocks 75 cm apart underneath. Clean the insides of your windshield with ammonia-based glass cleaner and a cloth without lint, then cover the edge with Glass Prep and wipe until everything is clean. Then, put Glass Primer on the edges and let it dry for at least three minutes.
