To repair the fuel gauge sender, remove the fuel tank, disconnect the electrical connector and fuel line from the pump module, and clean the area to prevent dirt entry. Use tool 9340 to remove the lock ring counter-clockwise, then take out the fuel pump module assembly from the tank.
