To service or repair the trunk/liftgate latch, release and open the decklid, then mark the latch outline on the decklid to aid reinstallation. If equipped, disconnect the remote release solenoid wire connectors. Remove the two bolts securing the decklid latch, and remove the latch from the vehicle.
