2009 Dodge Caliber Drain Plug Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service a drain plug on 2009 Dodge Caliber?
A: Take out the front passenger side wheel and also the front passenger side splash shield assembly from inside the wheelhouse to reach where you need to service the radiator drain plug. After that, drain the cooling system. Unscrew the draincock in the counterclockwise direction until it won't move any further, then rotate it clockwise a little less than a full turn. After that, loosen the draincock on the bottom of the radiator tank. You should be careful, because using pliers on the draincock might damage the radiator or draincock. The draincock can be kept in place during ordinary routine coolant drain.
