  A: Before beginning with the radiator drain plug, get access by first removing the front wheel on the passenger side and the passenger side splash shield assembly from under the wheelhouse. After that, empty the cooling system. Turn the draincock counterclockwise until it no longer turns, then turn it just 1/8 turn back in the clockwise direction. Only at this moment, disconnect the draincock from the radiatior tank. Do not use pliers on the draincock, because it could damage the radiator or draincock. Typically, it is not important to take out the draincock when draining your coolant during routine maintenance.
