To service the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC), disconnect the battery negative cable to deactivate the Supplemental Restraint System, wait for two minutes. Do not drop the ORC because it needs to be replaced if it is damaged. Remove the center floor console, disconnect wire harnesses and unscrew the ORC from the bracket.
