Before installing the ORC, first make sure the air bags do not activate by turning off the SRS, disconnecting the car's negative
Battery Cable and letting the system's capacitor completely discharge for two whole minutes. Make sure to properly manage the ORC to prevent accidents that may result in a broken impact sensor; if you drop it, the unit needs to be replaced. After setting the ORC into the main switch, place it on the welded bracket on the top of the floor panel transmission tunnel so that the arrow on the label points forward and the pins slide into the mounting holes. Use three screws to connect the ORC to the bracket and tighten them to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.), then put back the sound deadening material on the ORC. Attach the two wire harnesses on the ORC connector receptacles and make sure the latches are fully secured. At the end, place the center floor console inside the transmission tunnel, but do not attach the battery negative cable until the whole SRS system has been checked following service to any SRS part.
