How to Detach a Front Shock Absorber on 2009 Dodge Dakota?

Before removing the front shock absorber, remove the upper shock nuts. After that, make sure the car is stable and then remove the tire and wheel set. Following this, remove the bolts of the disc brake caliper and the routing clip for the wheel speed sensor. Take out the upper ball joint nut and use special tool 8677 to separate the ball joint from the knuckle. After propping up the lower control arm nearest the fender, release the lower stabilizer link nut and pull it free from the control arm. When you're done, remove the lower shock bolt and nut and then remove the shock itself.
