How to Detach a Wiper Arm on 2009 Dodge Dakota?

The wiper arm should be lifted into its highest position first which will release the spring and then held there to keep the wiper away from the glass. Take care to carefully remove the plastic nut cap at the end of the wiper arm. Following that, disconnect the nut that connects the wiper arm to the pivot shaft. Should you need to, insert a suitable battery terminal puller into one of the posts to release the wiper arm from the pivot shaft. Pull the wiper arm pivot end off its place on the pivot shaft to finish.
