2009 Dodge Durango Brake Line Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Rear Brake Line While Maintaining Brake System Pressure on 2009 Dodge Durango?
A: Before changing the rear brake lines, place a prop rod on the brake pedal so pressure in the braking system can't drop and the master cylinder is isolated to avoid fluid loss while the lines are unhooked, making bleeding the affected area possible instead of the entire system. After that, lift the vehicle and support it on jack stands. After removing brake line 6 from the junction at the frame, separate it at the connection to the caliper hose. When replacing brake line 1, take it out of junction block 2 at the base of the car and then unlink the other part from the caliper hose as well. After that, get rid of the line that needs to be changed.
