Replacing either trunk or liftgate hinges can be done without having to remove the whole liftgate. Place the liftgate on a reliable lifting equipment first. After that, trim the C-4755 or a similar tool to take out the upper rear headliner trim. Before starting the installation, mark the hinge's position with a grease pencil or something similar to help you. Afterward, remove the two liftgate bolts and the one body bolt and only then take out the hinge. You should use the right body sealer when moving or replacing the hinges.
