2009 Dodge Durango Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix an Oxygen Sensor on 2009 Dodge Durango?
A: Before servicing the oxygen sensor, remember to let the engine cool, since the exhaust manifold, pipes and converter may heat up during running. Lifting and propping up the car is your first step. Should you remove the 2/1 sensor in a 4-sensor vehicle, start by taking off the right-front tire/wheel and then removing the plastic inner fender liner. Take the wire connector off from the O2S sensor, be careful not to pull the wire connected to the O2S sensor directly. Make sure to use an oxygen sensor tool to take out and then install the O2S sensor. Clean all the threads in the exhaust pipe by using the right tap.
