Service The oxygen sensor requires the engine to be cool. To have a 4-sensor system, raise the vehicle and take off the right-front tire. Un-attach the O2S sensor wire, remove the sensor with a tool, and clean the exhaust pipe threads. Connectors should not have grease or be soldered over.
