How to Maintain and Fix Oxygen Sensors on 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan?

First, test the engine's cool before you service and repair the oxygen sensors so you won't get burned from the hot exhaust manifold, hot exhaust pipes and hot catalytic converter. Remove the downstream as well as the upstream oxygen sensor with an oxygen sensor (O2S) removal tool. We will begin to raise and support the vehicle to begin. Unplug the O2S pigtail harness from the engine wiring harness and (for models with the downstream oxygen sensor) disconnect the O2S wire harness mounting clips from the engine or the body, if still attached. Finally remove the O2S from the catalytic converter. Do the same for the upstream oxygen sensor by unplugging the O2S wire harness mounting clips, unplugging the O2S pigtail harness from the engine wiring harness and removing the O2S from the catalytic converter.
