2009 Dodge Grand Caravan Wiper Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Front Wiper Arm on 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Open the hood and, while being careful, pry off the plastic nut cap (3) attached to the wiper arm's pivot end (2). After that, take out nut (4) holding the wiper arm to the shaft and ensure the hood is fully closed. Pull up on the front wiper arm so that it is completely in its over-center position to hold the wiper blade (1) off the glass above the windshield. Slide the front wiper arm slightly up and down to disconnect it from the pivot shaft and pull the arm away. Removing the front wiper arm using a battery terminal puller should only be done if all else fails, because it can damage the wiper arm. If moving the blade back and forth doesn't loosen the wiper arm from the shaft, put the wiper blade back down on the window and raise the hood once more. At the end, take off the wiper arm from the pivot shaft (2) by using a proper battery terminal puller (3).
