When changing the front wiper arms, first park the driver side wiper above the passenger side to keep them safe. First, push a button or other tool on the outside of the cover to take it out of the wiper arm, then lift the cover up. Lift out the metal nut on the pivot to free the wiper arm. Use an appropriate two jaw puller to take the wiper arm off the wiper pivot. First, make sure both the wiper motor and linkage are in "park" mode for installation. Line up the wiper arm to the pivot and then screw the nut onto it, tightening to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.). After that, push the arm cap cover down and lock the clip to fix the outside end of the wiper arm pivot cover to the wiper arm.
