How to Detach the Hood Cable on 2009 Dodge Journey?

To access the hood cable, open the left front cowl first. After that, detach the two screws holding the hood release handle to the inner cowl panel and disconnect the hood cable from the latch handle. After that, get the rubber grommet out of the lower dash panel and disconnect the push-in fastener joining the hood cable and the dash panel. Then, take out the hood latch and unplug the two clips under the left side of the frame that hold the hood cable. Unplug the hood cable from the car as the last step.
