How to Service the Cigarette Lighter on 2009 Dodge Nitro?

Before dealing with the auxiliary cigarette lighter, you should separate and turn off the negative battery cable. Notice the way the retaining bosses are oriented. Pry the bosses loose from the base by inserting the tool into the 9857 Cigarette Lighter Remover. Gently sway the tool while you pull out the base from the mounting hole. Take the base wires off the PCB, put the base to the side and then take off the base mount ring.
