2009 Dodge Nitro Starter Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Effectively Service and Repair a Starter Motor on 2009 Dodge Nitro?
A: Before working on the starter motor, seperate and isolate the cable that leads to the negative battery terminal. After that, raise and support the vehicle. Remove the front propeller shaft if the vehicle has Four Wheel Drive. Proceed by taking away the two heat shield bolts and removing the starter heat shield. Open the mounting bolt by removing the solenoid nut and make sure to remove the battery wire and plug the electrical connector from the solenoid terminal at the same time. Once that's done, use a wrench to remove the two bolts on the starter mount and transfer the assembly out of the transmission, maybe rotating it as you take it out of the car.
