How to Install a Catalytic Converter on 3.7L/4.7L/5.7L Engines on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

On 3.7L/4.7L/5.7L engines, hook the RH catalytic converter to the exhaust clamp on its end and into the exhaust pipe. Making sure they do not come loose, secure the RH catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold bolts using a hand. After that, put the c-clip nut and bolt onto the converter near the manifold. The catalytic converter should be tightened to the exhaust manifold bolts using 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.) torque and all clamp nuts should be tightened to 52.2 Nm (40 ft. lbs.) torque. Make sure the exhaust is kept at least 25 mm (1.0 in.) from all body/frame parts, adjust where possible and confirm that the exhaust is at least 25 mm away from the oil pan. Link the O2 sensor wiring, drop the vehicle until it's on the ground, turn on the engine and inspect the exhaust for any leaks. Repair any leaks you find.
