How to Install a Cigarette Lighter Auxiliary Power Outlet on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

Connect the instrument panel wire harness connector with the cigar lighter or cigarette lighter receptacle base connector first. After that, place the mount for the lighter inside the cup in the instrument panel, making sure the splines on the outside of the receptacle align with the grooves on the mount. Apply pressure to the base of the receptacle until both retaining bosses of the mount sit completely in their receptacles. After that, fasten the lighter feature knob and component into the lighter receptacle base or the protective cover into the cigarette lighter receptacle base. Attach the negative battery cable as the last step.
