Q: How to Remove Car Speakers on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: First, disconnect the negative battery cable, then remove the front door trim panel and afterward remove the screws or bolts holding the speaker in place. Take off the electrical wire and get rid of the speaker. Remove and isolate the negative battery cable, let go of the instrument panel top cover screw covers and screws and pull off the top cover for the center instrument panel speaker. Release the fasteners holding the speaker to the mounting area, disconnect its electronic connector and remove the speaker. To get to the instrument panel end speaker, empty the battery, disconnect the negative cable, take off the instrument panel top cover and remove the fasteners along with the electrical connector of the speaker. Before removing the speaker for the rear cab side, remove and isolate the negative battery cable, remove the B-pillar lower strip, take off the mounting screws and finally cut and pull out the electrical connector. To remove the rear door speaker, cut off its power by disconnecting the negative battery cable, then separate the rear door panel from the frame, free the fasteners and take out the electrical connector. For regular cab installs, separate the battery negative cable before loosening the bolts holding the subwinfer, removing its connectors and pulling the subwoofer out. If you are using a quad cab, pull up the right rear seat to reach the subwoofer, unplug and isolate the negative battery cable, unscrew the subwoofer from the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the seat as a whole. First, disconnect the battery negative cable at the fuse box, use the trim stick to remove the cover on the headliner speaker, then remove the speaker retainers, the electrical connector and remove the speaker.
