How to Maintain and Fix an Alternator on 2009 Dodge Ram 2500?

To service the alternator, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the generator drive belt and unsnap the plastic insulator cap from the B+ terminal. Disconnect the field wire, take off the support bracket, and finally, take out the generator by taking off the mounting bolts.
