How to Service and Repair a Front Parking Brake Cable on 2009 Dodge Ram 2500?

You should lift and prop up your car and also lockout the parking brake cable before handling the rest of the job. Loose the adjusting nut and let the front cable become slack. Then remove the cable from the cable connector on the front wheel. Press down on the cable mount on the car and pull the cable free at the bracket. Push the ball on the cable out from the clevis with a small screwdriver, then compress the cable end fitting at the bracket and take out the cable. Then, disconnect the cable from the body clip, pull the carpet up, lift out the left cowl trim and sill plate, without breaking the plugs on the wire. Lift the cable to take it and the grommet out.
